We are a Delicatessan and Catering Company Business established for over 5 years Our partners boast between them many years of experience in the catering industry
Delicate Essence is our Delicatessan shop which opened its doors in November 2004. Already the business has built up a diverse spread of clients both locally in Kirn and Dunoon and more widely throughout Cowal and the West of Scotland. We offer a full range of services to both those local and wider communities. We believe in fine food, cheeses, cooked meats and many other delicacies along with a high quality of service.
Party Pieces is the catering arm of the business and continues to expand its wide range of Catering Services by offering its clients quality catering at reasonable prices. We can find the best solution for your function or event whether catering for a wedding or other large function or supplying snacks and sanwiches to business and our private clients. Where Are We
Our shop is in Kirn a small village of a few hundred inhabitants which lies on the Banks of the River Clyde some 2 miles from Dunoon. Kirn is approximately 30 miles from Glasgow via a ferry crossing over the Clyde. Kirn is a "Gateway to the Highlands" and our business has customers throughout the Cowal Peninsula, the County of Argyll and the entire West of Scotland.
Who Are We
For the McColm and Togwell families opening Delicate Essence represented a change in direction but was, for both families, a natural and welcome progression. For several years Ian and Fiona McColm had built a successful businesss - Party Pieces - catering for a wide variety of Functions and Events. Party Pieces continues to thrive as part of the Delicate Essence business.
Kenny and Shona Togwell's background has been in the hotel trade. For many years the extended Togwell family run the very successful Esplanande Hotel in Dunoon. When the Togwells Senior entered their well deserved retirement Kenny and Shona decided on a change in focus and have joined forces with Ian and Fiona to form Delicate Essence.
Delicate Essence offers a complete range of services. Our shop offers a full delicatessan service of the highest quality for the local community. Party Pieces continues to expand its range of catering services offering our clients the solution for their event or function no matter how small or large.Both businesses operate from our shop in Kirn.
